Nevada County CDA -- One-Stop-Shop!

One-Stop-Shop Online is an Internet Kiosk for the Encompass Community Development System. It provides the ability to search and display information about property records, permits, contractors, licenses and other related information contained within Encompass. Additionally, it allows qualified individuals to apply for permits, request inspections and update related information over the internet.

Property Search allows the operator to search and display property information such as assessment, ownership, zoning and other demographic information. Property may be searched using common request information and when found can be linked to related permit information. This function may also be linked to an internet accessible GIS if available.

Contractor Search allows the operator to search and display contractor information like contact, certification and licensing information. Optionally, it also permits access to information regarding recent projects within the community.

Permit Status provides real time information regarding the permit application and plan review status, (including reviewer notes). It also allows the display of inspection schedules and complete result information for qualified persons.

Permit Application -- CDA would like to announce our new on-line permitting program now available for the following permits: Plumbing, Electrical, Re-roof, and Mechanical. This new on-line permitting program allows our CDA customers to both apply for the above permits and make payment using the Virtual Check payment method. Note: At this time the on-line permitting program is available only to those specialty contractors who currently possess a valid license for one or more of the following permit types: plumbing, electrical, re-roof and mechanical. The nature of these permits is that they normally are issued “over-the-counter” and do not require a plan or site plan review. Contractors wishing to participate in this program will need to come to the Rood Center to obtain a Personal Identification Number (PIN). If you currently posses a PIN number and would like to apply for one of the above permits, simply click on the PERMIT APPLICATION link, log in and supply the requested information.

Inspection Request provides qualified individuals with the ability to request inspections online. Existing inspection information for the affected permit is available and pending inspections can be rescheduled as needed. Requests are immediately reflected within Encompass for access by inspectors and scheduling personnel.
